There are a ton of places on the web that offer weather data for public consumption, but not all of them allow us, a private company, to freely use and re-distribute their data/maps/images/etc.

Any and all governmental outlets, NWS, SPC, CPC, etc are also free to use. Simply cite them as the root URL. So, for example, weather.gov, spc.noaa.gov, cpc.ncep.noaa.gov.
