If Santa surfing the Gulf after Christmas is any indication, yeah, it’s going to be a pretty mild Christmas this year. The overall average for this week is going to be in the 70s during the day and in the mid 50s at night. We may have a chance for fog in the next few days as well, so Santa, grab Rudolph and some extra headlights!
Today

We’ll start off with some dense fog across the area. Low stratus clouds will hang around during the day with intermittent showers starting in the mid-morning and exiting by the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 60s with more humid conditions. The front will eventually fade into the Gulf and we’ll be left with dissipating clouds overnight.

Tomorrow

It’ll be a warmer day tomorrow with temperatures in the low 70s and few clouds in the sky. Winds will blow from the southeast during the day. Overnight, temperatures will fall into the mid 50s with a chance of fog.
Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve will start off mild in the morning with low level clouds and fog possible in the morning. Winds will be mostly calm in the afternoon with a high in the low 70s and clouds clearing. Overnight, another chance of fog is possible with a low in the mid to upper 50s.
Christmas Day and the Day After
Christmas Day is looking pretty warm for this time of year. Like I said, Santa might be taking a trip to the Gulf after he’s done delivering presents as it’s going to be pretty comfortable compared to the North Pole. We’ll hit the mid 70s during the day, so wear a tacky Christmas T-shirt or a short sleeve if you’re visiting family and friends. Overnight, we’ll fall into the mid 50s again.
Friday will be slightly warmer with temperatures in the mid to upper 70s and mostly cloudy skies. Expect some fog in the morning, but overall, it’ll be another warm one. Lows will be in the upper 50s.
I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays this year!
