2/11/19 detailed weather forecast for South Mississippi

Before everyone starts to see snow “forecasts” pop up in their social media feeds, I wanted to “nip this one in the bud” before it got too far.

Yes, one model output does show colder air at the surface and precipitation falling across South Mississippi simultaneously.

But, sadly, figuring out if it will snow isn’t as easy as just one model showing one thing at one time. It take a lot of things to come together.

More bad news for snow lovers? Even the model depicting the colder air and precip still doesn’t show it will be cold enough for snow.

So What IS the forecast?

For next Monday? About 55 and rain, right now. But that will likely change. All I can ask is for you to just hang in there, for now.
