When you wake up in the morning, one of the first questions you probably ask is: what’s the weather going to do today? Weather has a hand in almost every decision we make.

At NickelBlock Forecasting, we understand how much weather impacts your day, your business, and your safety. Our website and app feature daily forecasts with detailed local discussions, live radar with storm-tracking arrows, and dedicated severe and tropical weather updates. Our team of meteorologists delivers accurate, science-driven forecasts you can trust. Looking ahead to the next hour or the next season.

Nick Lilja, founder and developer of NickelBlock Forecasting, is a former television meteorologist, storm chaser, and lifelong weather communicator. After years in broadcast meteorology, most split between Amarillo and Hattiesburg, Nick saw firsthand how reliable information can protect lives. His passion for safety and science inspired the creation of NickelBlock Forecasting: a service dedicated to clear, accurate, and responsible forecasting.

But NickelBlock Forecasting isn’t just one person. We’re a team of experienced meteorologists and interns – each contributing unique expertise to push the boundaries of modern forecasting. And, with the advancements in technology, we have staff collaborating from across the country. Current and past employees have worked from places like Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Iowa, Wisconsin, Missouri, Florida, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts.

  1. Thank you so much for your informative and in depth forecasts . I work with mentally challenged adults . One of our clients Jeff , is 63 years old and and like me a weather geek . We all live in Cape Coral FL and Jeff makes his Hurricane Season predictions each June first too . This year , Jeff predicted a major hurricane to impact Florida (and he said both coasts) the end of August near Labor Day ! He actually chose to visit family out of state in advance . Now ….. if we could only get him to focus on some winning lottery numbers . Thank you again
