DESCRIPTION:

This is a hands on internship. Interns will have a chance to learn the latest trends in new media dissemination, forecasting tools and tricks, and how to build a personal weather brand.  And we give our interns the credit they deserve. We publish interns forecasts with their name in the byline on the site. Interns get the credit for their forecasts – not us. There will be an opportunity to also add audio and video to posts.

Our interns work 10-20 hours per week on a flexible schedule, making it an ideal opportunity for students to balance their studies with practical experience in their field of interest. Often, we have a once-per-week meeting that lasts about an hour or two and then two or three days per week our interns work independently about 3 to 6 hours at a time. We ask that one of those days our interns work during “normal business hours” so, if needed, we can check in and make sure everything is going smoothly.
