Video: Storm chaser Mike Olbinski shares a TON of amazing storm footage

Vorticity 3 (4K) from Mike Olbinski on Vimeo.

The video really needs zero introduction. However, some background. Mike is a fantastic photographer and videographer. Sure, he is a great storm chaser, too. But man, oh man! Can he shoot some great video…

Personally, I first learned about Mike when he got famous for this video:

A supercell near Booker, Texas from Mike Olbinski on Vimeo.

Because I was there, too! Just a lot closer, with a much worse vantage point, worse camera, while being less skilled.

In fact, during my Severe Weather class at USM, I have a picture from both Mike and I taken at the exact same moment. It is a pic of a lightning strike. His is gorgeous. Mine is not.

Back to Mike, though.

He does a fantastic job chasing storms and grabbing awe-inspiring images and video. And if you have a chance to find him on social media, I would. His accounts are always worth a follow!
