Drier and warmer today, fewer storms: Southern Mississippi Forecast – 7/6/22

After a rainy few days, it looks like things will be a bit quieter today and tomorrow. There is still a chance for a few storms, but the coverage won’t be quite as widespread. As high pressure takes over, it will limit the potential for storms while also kicking the temps up quite a bit.

As the interns note, there will be Heat Index values up above 100F and in some places up to 110F. So please – PLEASE! – drink plenty of water. Given all the recent rains the dewpoints will be higher and thus the humidity will be higher, meaning the Heat Idnex values will also be higher.

But I’ll let the Interns take it from here!
