Mr. Tornado – an American Experience film

PBS presented a fantastic documentary on Tetsuya Fujita – the man behind the Fujita scale.

For those who are curious, “Ted” Fujita moved to the United States from Japan. And used his background in engineering – not meteorology – to determine a classification for the different strengths of tornadoes.

I would write a big long bio here, but it wouldn’t come close to telling his story as accurately as the documentary.
