South Mississippi Forecast 5/14/21: Video forecast!

Enjoy this weekend and the beginning of next week because another round of rainy weather is going to settle into the area as we move through the middle to end of next week.

And – BONUS! – I’ve been working on getting the video recording ‘up to snuff’ on my laptop and I think I finally got it to a place I’m comfortable with, so I gave it a shot this morning. Apologies for my casual attire, but I’m about an hour away from putting ona suit and bow tie for my sister’s wedding!

The Bottom Line

Get out and enjoy the dry weather this weekend as next week looks soggy again. It looks like a solid 1″ to 3″ of rain across the area from Next Monday through next Thursday with some places picking up more than 5″ of rain potentially.

Again, the best news I can offer is that severe weather looks less likely. I wouldn’t be surprised if the SPC blankets the area with a few “Marginal Risk” areas each day, but the main concern would be for heavy rain, frequent lightning, and wind gusts up to 60mph. The tornado threat would be rather low and any hail would likely be smaller than nickel-sized.

  1. Oh joy, more rain … Just what I wanted. I don’t think we’ll ever dry out. CONGRATULATIONS on your sister getting married. I hope everything went well!

  2. I still follow your forecasts, which are more relevant now that I live along the gulf coast.
