Baseball Forecast- 6/24/25

It’s gonna be hot start to the week as we only have one team at home this week. The Cyclones play at home in Brooklyn and the Yankees play in Cincinnati and both cities are under heat advisories for Tuesday and for Cincinnati that extends into Wednesday also. This means if you plan on attending these games, be sure to wear appropriate clothing, wear sunscreen, and drink plenty of water before and during the game. Be sure to also take breaks and stay in shaded areas as much as possible if the sun is still out. As for players, it will be very important for them to properly hydrate with water and electrolytes and take breaks indoors. This may lead to games being longer due to having to give the player some more time inside if it is very hot. Players may also feel very sluggish due to the humid, thick feeling in the air and they will likely sweat more than usual. Let’s get into the exact details for each game!

New York Yankees

Tonight the Yankees start an away series against the Cincinnati Reds at 7:10pm EDT. Temperatures will start at around 95 degrees for the first few innings but start to cool as the sun sets to around 85 degrees by the end of the game. Humidity will start around 42% and increase to around 64% throughout the game. It will be a mostly clear game which means before sunset it will feel quite hot, especially in the sun. Winds at the surface will be calm and up at 150ft they will be around 10-20 mph. These winds will be pointing towards left field. Ball motion will be sinking at first but start to rise more as we get to the final innings due to the rising humidity. There is a chance for a scattered thunderstorm to come through the middle innings but that is something to watch as we get closer to game time.
