Baseball Forecast- 7/8/25

Scattered showers across the northeast tonight into Thursday, might dampen some games this week as all our northern teams are home. The temperatures will remain hot across the east and the south will be dry for the first time in what feels like forever. Since we are looking at those scattered showers, below is a radar for the first half of the week in the northeast for easy reference. With all that in mind let’s get into it!

New York Yankees

The Yankees start a new home series against the Seattle Mariners at 7:05pm EDT tonight. Temperatures will start in the low-80s and cool dow to the mid-70s after sunset. Humidity will be increasing throughput the game from around 80% to almost 90% by the end of the game. It will be quite cloudy out and cloud coverage will increase as showers start to move into the area. We will see storms moving across the city, especially in the second half of the game which might affect theater or not the game can continue. If there is thunder or lighting in the area the game will get postponed. We are looking at a high likelihood of that occurring so be prepared for that to happen.

The Yankees continue their home series against the Mariners at 7:05pm EDT. It will be a partly cloudy game with temperatures in the upper-70s. There will be some scattered thunderstorms in the area for the game, but none should directly affect the area. Humidity will be increasing throughout the game as storms from the south start to move into the region. Winds will be calm at the surface and around 8 mph at 150ft point ing towards the left field foul line. This game should be able to finish completely but be aware of rain nearby which might affect traveling home for people.

Baseball Forecast for Wednesday at Yankee Stadium


The Yankees finish their home series against the Mariners on Thursday night at 7:05pm EDT. A cloudy evening with temperatures around 77 degrees and humidity around 85%. There will be rain showers in the area which may affect the game if thunder or lighting pops up nearby. However, these showers would likely be on the lighter side and the game should be able to continue as scheduled. It will be important to check the local weather closer to game time. Winds will be calm at the surface and around 8 mph pointing towards the left field foul line. It will feel quite sticky out and if you plan on attending this game be prepared for some rain showers as well.

Biloxi Shuckers

The Shuckers start a home series at 6:05pm CDT tonight against our very own Birmingham Barons. Temperatures will be in the mid-80s with humidity in the upper 60% range. It will be a pretty clear evening with just a few clouds coming in during the final innings. Surface winds will be around 3 mph, with winds at 150ft around 19 mph pointing towards the left field foul line. This might cause those fly balls to go further out of bounds than expected due to the stronger winds at 150ft. The higher humidity will make it feel quite hot and sticky out, but nothing unusual for the south this time of year!

The Shuckers continue their home series against the Barons on Wednesday at 11:05am CDT. Temperatures will be increasing throughout the game as we head into the hottest part of the day, around 90 degrees. It will also be clear out which means the sun will be beating down over everyone and make it feel even hotter. Humidity will be around 60% with calm surface winds. At 150ft, winds will be around 10 mph pointing towards left field. The clear skies and hot temperatures will make for quite the hot game so it will be crucial for everyone to hydrate and wear plenty of sunscreen. Players will likely feel the effects after the first inning and make need to take longer breaks in-between innings to cool off.

Thursday’s 6:35pm CDT game against the Barons will continue the Shucker’s home series. Temperatures will be in the mid-80s with humidity around 70-75%. It will be mostly clear out with calm winds at the surface. At 150ft winds will be pointing towards left field around 15 mph. A fairly hot and sticky evening but not too terrible and it should be nice enough to still enjoy the ballgame!

Brooklyn Cyclones

The Cyclones start a home series against the Wilmington Blue Rocks this week starting tonight at 6:40pm EDT. Temperatures will start around 85 degrees and cool to around 75 degrees by the end of the game. Humidity all increase as the game continues and as showers start to move into the area. Clouds will move in by the final innings as we see thunderstorms enter our area which may mean the final innings may not be played. Winds will also pick up with these storms coming in so likely the game will be postponed for the evening unless they move the game time up to avoid these storms. Be prepared if you planned on attending this game to be in the rain and try to leave before any storms move in so you don’t get caught outside in a thunderstorm.

Wednesday’s game against the Blue Rocks will take place at 6:40pm EDT in Brooklyn. Temperatures will be in the upper-70s and it will be mostly cloudy. Thunderstorms will be towards the south by the end of the game which will cause the humidity to increase up to 87%. The game should be clear of any rain but for people traveling afterwards, they may get caught in some showers. Winds at 150ft will be around 8 mph pointing towards the infield. At the surface they will be around 4 mph which won’t give any relief from that heavy, sticky feeling. Be prepared for showers after the game when you travel home on Wednesday.

The Cyclones continue their series against the Blue Rocks at 6:40pm EDT. Temperatures will be in the mid-70s with humidity around 90%. There will be rain showers in the area especially towards the end of the game. It will be cloudy with surface winds around 6 mph while at 150ft they will be around 9 mph pointing towards the infield. Be on the lookout for some rain showers nearby and check the local weather for more detailed information closer to game time!

Hudson Valley Renegades

The Renegades start a new home series this week against the Asheville Tourists at 6:35pm EDT. Temperatures will be in the mid-80s with cloudy skies and humidity around 50%. There will be some rain showers in the area, but none should greatly affect the game other making the field and ball wet. Surface winds will be calm and at 150ft they will be around 5 mph pointing towards the outfield. Showers will be more likely at the end of the game as people are heading home so be aware of that if you’re attending this game.

The Renegades continue their home series against the Tourists at 6:35pm EDT Wednesday. Temperatures will be in the low-80s with humidity ranging from 53-68%. Winds will be calm at all levels with air motion naturally rising. It will be partly cloudy with only a very slight chance for some thunder nearby. With naturally rising air, this will help keep fly balls up in the air for longer and help them get that extra few inches they might need. Overall, it will feel quite hot and sticky with that lingering moisture in air, but nothing super uncomfortable.

Thursday’s game against the Tourists takes place at 6:35pm EDT. It will be a cloudy evening with showers in the region. These rain showers may be heavy can cause a delay in the game. However, I believe they won’t be too heavy and can be played through. It will just make for wet conditions for everyone. Temperatures will start around 81 degrees but cool to around 75 degrees by the end of the game. Humidity on the other hand, will be increasing, starting around 70% and getting to around 88%. Winds will be calm at all levels and the air will be naturally rising as humidity increases throughout the game. If you plan on attending this game, be ready for some rain during the game!
