Rain Possible Today with Cool Temperatures Ahead – Weekend Forecast for South MS/LA/AL 1/14/26

It’s going to be another cool week outside as temperatures fluctuate between cold fronts. Expect temperatures to fall below the freezing mark and rain possible today and Friday night.

Today


Some intermittent rain is possible this morning as another cold front will move through the Deep South tonight. This will mainly happen this morning, the late afternoon and evening hours. Winds will shift from the south to the northwest this evening as the front approaches. Expect a high in the upper 50s and a low down in the lower 30s, so frost is possible tomorrow morning.

Tomorrow

It’s going to be a cold one tomorrow! We’re just going to make it into the 40s tomorrow and winds will be out of the northwest around 10-15 mph with wind gust up to 25mph possible. Overnight we’ll fall back around 30 with winds shifting towards the southwest.

Friday

well warm up quite a bit compared to Thursday as the winds shift towards the south. A few gusty winds are possible as another cold front approaches. Overnight, a fairly weak system will move in with a slight chance for rain. High in the low 60s and a low around 40.

This Weekend

Expect your average winter-like weekend, but a little bit more windy. As the cold front passes on Friday, we’ll have a gusty day on Saturday as the high pressure system moves in. A high in the upper 50s and a low around 30. Sunday will be another windy day with a high in the low 50s and a low in the low 30s.
