Dry for the week, rain returns Saturday night: Southern MS/AL/LA Weather Forecast – 1/30/24

There was some patchy fog this morning, but most of that has cleared out. We are still looking pretty good through the next few days with mostly sunny skies and dry through Friday.

Then the chance for rain returns just in time for the weekend. Well, at least part of the weekend.

It looks like Saturday should be mostly day. The rain starts to build into the area as we move through the evening and into the overnight hours. early Sunday morning will probably be the best bet for rain. That said, we may have lingering drizzle and light rain for most of Sunday.

Then things start to dry out again on Monday.

Late next week the weather may get a bit more active again with a chance for more severe weather. The CIPS Analogs suggest next Thursday through Saturday there may be an opportunity for a few severe storms.

This isn’t anything to lose sleep over right now. But more of a heads up if you have plans late next week. Might be good to make sure those are indoor plans.
