If It Ain’t One Thing, Then It’s Another and Lightning Never Conducts Itself (July 2nd, 2018 forecast)

Good afternoon y’all! I’m your intern Noah with the forecast for the rest of your week!

So, the elephant in the room is “what’s the weather for July 4th?” Well, to be completely honest it’s going to be a toss-up. We have the rest of the back-end front coming in by July 3rd, but there always is that slight chance of storms even after the rain has left. Knowing the potential for afternoon thunderstorms, there could be a few showers throughout the area, so if you see some built-up clouds heading your way, you’ll probably have to take your fun indoors. We’re looking at a high of 89 and a low of 72. Shoot some fireworks and grill out, but if you see storms heading your way, head inside!

After the festivities are over and you have to go back to work, we still have a possible chance of rain each day. We’re not going to see the temperatures get much higher than the low 90’s since there’s going to be cloud cover most every day to keep those temperatures down.

Thursday is going to be partly cloudy throughout the majority of the day and we’ll feel temperatures in the upper 80’s for our high and 72 for the low.

Friday has our smallest chance of rain. Most likely what you’ll see is a convective thunderstorm coming from the heating of the day and dumping all the rain it collected. There’s a high of 90 and a low of 74.

Saturday picks up the chance of rain again when another piece of energy comes its way bringing in rain for our area with a high of 88 and a low of 73.

The chances go down slightly on Sunday with a slight chance of a pop-up thunderstorm and partly to mostly cloudy skies with a high of 89 and a low of 73.

The start of your week will see another good chance of rain coming in with a possible chance of thunder. High of 88 and low of 72.

Hope y’all have a happy Independence Day and a good week! Stay safe and be careful with the fireworks!

Howdy everyone, I hope you are enjoying your stormy Monday!  Kendall here with the forecast to start off your month of July.

Happy July 2nd! As you may have noticed, storms have formed throughout our area this afternoon. As the storm progresses, keep watch for potential warnings in your area. Tonight a system with a bit of rotation will continue to bring thunderstorms to the region, not breaking until about 11 p.m.. A low pressure system is moving in, with winds around 10 mph. If you can hear thunder, please go inside. Lightning is 5x hotter than the surface of the sun. It’s not worth the risk!

Tomorrow, July 3rd, doesn’t look too much better than today. Your chance of seeing precipitation if you live in the area is 70%, with 0n and off thunderstorms rolling in throughout the day. The day will start off with some precipitation and a low of 74°, with winds out of the northeast at 5 mph. By 10 a.m., temperature will rise to about 80°. Winds will pick up to about 10 mph out of the east, and the thunderstorms will remain in the area for the rest of the day. At 1 p.m., winds will be around 10 mph, and temperatures will rise to 83°. The rainfall will keep us relatively cool throughout the day, and around 4 p.m. we will reach a high of 86°. Winds will be out of the southeast at 15 mph. For the evening forecast, the temperature will drop off to 82°, with winds hitting 15nmph out of the southeast. Thunderstorms will remain into the evening.

Anyway, here is Noah with the rest of the week! Thank you for reading!
