Howdy!
Check out my first video forecast below to hear more about the weather for today and tomorrow!!
Let’s see what is going on for the next couple of days and if there are any changes to the forecast since yesterday.

Currently, temperatures are in the low to upper 80s for the region, showers starting to pop up as Tropical Storm Arthur moves towards Louisiana. Most of south Louisiana along the coast is currently under a tropical storm warning, flood watches and warnings are in place throughout the region and a couple severe thunderstorm warnings out near Ozark, Alabama are occurring right now.

So as we can see, the weather is very eventful. Louisiana will start to see impacts from the tropical storm today and tomorrow is looking to be a very wet day for the southeastern United States as TS Arthur moves inland, bringing with it heavy rain and thunderstorms, some even being severe.

No change to the forecast from yesterday, highs today will fall in the low to mid 80s, and much of the southern portions of the region will see rain today.

Tomorrow is going to be a lot more wet for the region, seeing an increase in thunderstorms, and the SPC has the entire region (minus a part of Louisiana) under marginal risk of severe weather. There is a potential to see some weak, short-lived tornadoes from the tropical system. Tornadoes that form due to tropical systems do not need as high CAPE values and moderate shear to be able to spin up. While these tornadoes will not take down houses, they can still do some damage so keep weather aware!

There are no major changes to the forecast. These next couple of days are going to be really eventful, so make sure to keep up to date on the weather and take it seriously. Main hazards from this tropical storm include widespread flash flooding, winds, possible short-lived tornadoes, and severe storms.
Looking ahead, again no change to the forecast. After this week, summer returns and temperatures start to warm up once again. Chances of rain decrease going into next week, but afternoon pop-up showers are still possible.

Again, make sure to keep weather aware and try to stay dry!
