South Mississippi Forecast 7/15/21 – Halfway through July. and it is still rainin’

More of the same today, with another round of afternoon showers and storms. The good news is that things will be just about as sparse as yesterday. So the chance for rain is down around 40-percent ‘officially’ but I have probably went a bit high today. So, ‘unofficially’ it is probably even lower. Perhaps as low as 30-percent or even 20-percent.

As you can see from the model guidance above, there aren’t many storms out there this afternoon. But after two days of lower rain chances, it looks like by the time I head into the weekend things may become a bit more widespread.

And then next week, another system knocks on our door.

Monday, another front tries to sag into the area. It won’t make it all the way down to South Mississippi, but it will re-increase the chance for rain through Sunday, Monday and Tuesday of next week.

Daily Timeline

Things may take a bit longer to get going today. It looks like storms may not initiate until after lunch for most spots.

Friday, it looks like storms may fire up a bit earlier – around lunch.
