Storms this morning along the Coast, then drier through the holiday weekend: Southern MS/AL/LA Weather Forecast

A few storms continue to rumble down toward the coast this morning. The Storm Prediction Center and Weather Prediction center are monitoring storms for both a severe weather threat and a flash flooding threat.

Currently, the bulk of any storm activity is out over the open waters and won’t likely make it onshore until it is east of Mobile. Then, for the most part, the threat for storms should end by noon today, and leave skies mostly sunny by afternoon.

And then, that’s it for weather. There may be a few isolated storms this afternoon, but we should stay dry from later today through the holiday weekend.

then next week we get into a chance for afternoon summertime-style storms, but that’s it!

Get out and enjoy the weekend weather! Just make sure to drink plenty of water – yes, water, not just Adult Beverages – while you are hanging out with friends and family.
