Sunshine and mild temperatures through the weekend, storms back next week: Southern MS/AL/LA Weather Forecast – 4/21/22

More nice weather on deck for today. And tomorrow! Then again on Saturday! The forecast feels like a commercial for those “only sold on TV” products. Act now, and we’ll also include “nice weather” on Sunday!

Jokes aside, it really should continue to be a nice stretch of weather for the next few days. Through Sunday evening, at least.

By Monday the next cold front arrives and brings with it a chance for showers and storms. For the moment, the good news is that the threat for severe weather remains pretty low. It is something worth watching, for sure, but it looks like there won’t be the usual setup for severe weather and, instead, the threat will be farther north.

Notice how the storms shown on the graphic above (left) aren;t lines up along a sharp front with a big change in dewpoint values (right). That lack of a strong front, along with other factors, should limit the potential for severe weather
