It’s going to be a warm week ahead as an Atlantic high pressure system expands upon the Southeast. Temperatures will continue to rise into the mid and upper 80s and lows will creep into the mid 60s. It’s going to be humid later on in the week as more Gulf moisture builds with the incoming cold front. By this weekend, we’ll have a chance for rain as the front breaks through the high pressure system to our neck of the woods.

Today

We started off with fog in some areas this morning, however we’re back to partly cloudy skies this afternoon. Highs will be in the mid 80s with winds out of the south. Overnight, we’ll fall into the low 60s.

Tomorrow

Some areas of patchy fog are possible early tomorrow morning. Another partly cloudy day is ahead tomorrow with temperatures in the mid 80s fairly early in the day. Winds will be out of the south again and conditions will be fairly warm, so if you’re outside, have some water and sunscreen! Overnight, temperatures will fall into the low 60s.
Wednesday

Some patchy fog is possible again Wednesday morning with a low in the low 60s. It’ll be another warm day with partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the low to mid 80s. Winds are out of the south around 5-10mph. Overnight, the low will fall into the low to mid 60s.

Thursday-Sunday

There will be a buildup to the possible rain on Sunday as the humidity rises for the next few days. Along with that, the high temperature will rise as well as the low. Highs will be in the upper 80s and lows will rise to the mid 60s. By Saturday evening, our front will arrive in front of a large high pressure system moving in from Canada. So far, this system looks pretty unimpressive. We’re on the coattail of this low and it’s already moving towards the Hudson Bay, so it’s stretched pretty thin. We likely won’t see a lot of rain either, but it’ll be beneficial nonetheless.

The good news is that temperatures fall back a bit into the upper 70s, so it’ll be cooler by the time the rain moves out Sunday morning. Dewpoints will also drop a bit leading to some cooler low temperatures next week.
