Currently, there is a flood advisory in effect for Ascension, St. James, and St. John the Baptist parishes. Minor flooding is possible in low-lying and poor drainage areas until 5:45 PM CDT. Minor flooding is also possible along the Tangipahoa River near Robert.

Temperatures are ranging from 70s behind the cold front to the upper 80s ahead of it. Warm, humid conditions and cloudy skies tonight, with lows in the mid-70s.

Recent short-range model runs show scattered showers and storms continuing through the evening before dying out during the early overnight hours. Storms will be capable of producing intense rainfall in a short period of time.
