Calmer through Friday, then more storms possible this weekend

This will be a bit calmer the rest of the week after we get through a few showers and storms this morning.

Rainfall will be tied up closer to the coast, so for folks living closer to I-20, you should stay drier. Rainfall totals to the south this morning may be as high as 1″ to 2″ depending on how storms line up.

But then, by lunch, we should be done.

In fact, the next ‘good’ chance for storms doesn’t arrive until this weekend. The rain and storms may put a damper on some outdoor plans, but things aren’t looking nearly as robust as this past week. As of now the threat for severe storms looks to be on the low end of the scale.

Flooding may become more of a concern, but for now I don’t think catastrophic flooding looks likely, either.

Otherwise we are going to be seeing passing clouds with comfortable temperatures this week.
