Dry and breezy today, sunshine holds through most of the week: Southern MS/AL/LA Weather Forecast – 10/16/23

It looks like the clear skies are here to stay for a few days.

Today, we will be mostly sunny – if not fully sunny. Highs in the upper 60s. North winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.So the breeze may still have a bit of a bite.

As the big ridge of high pressure from the north settles into the area, the wind should ease back. That starts later this evening and into the overnight hours. In fact, tonight will be clear. Lows in the upper 40s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tomorrow will be sunny again with highs in the lower 70s. North winds around 5 mph. Tomorrow night, similar to tonight, but maybe not quite as cool with lows around 50.

A look at the extended forecast shows more of the same with a brief shot for rain by Thursday night and into Friday morning.

Wednesday: Sunny. Highs in the mid 70s.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 50s.

Thursday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 70s.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy. A slight chance of showers after midnight. Lows in the upper 50s. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Friday: Mostly sunny with a 20 percent chance of showers. Highs in the lower 80s.

Friday Night: Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 50s.

Saturday: Sunny. Highs around 80.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 50s.

Sunday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 80s.
