Friday Night Football will be nice, plus a dry weekend: Southern MS/AL/LA Weather Forecast – 10/7/2022

Friday night football is looking fantastic. It’ll be warm today, but things should cool off pretty quickly once the sun starts to set. Temperatures at kickoff should be around 75F-80F, and then around 70F by the final whistle.

I don’t know that it will be jacket weather, but if you want to breakout a sweatshirt, I don’t think anyone would look at you funny!

We remain dry through the weekend and through most of next week. The next shot for rain arrives late next week as the next cold front kicks through. But it doesn’t look like much rain.

I’m sure burn bans are going to expand as we head through the weekend and into next week, The list of Mississippi counties with a burn ban is below. Louisiana offers a map of burn bans, also below. Even if your area isn’t under a burn ban, please make sure you are being very careful if you are doing any outdoor burning this weekend.
