Hit-and-miss showers this week, but a break from severe weather: Southern MS/AL/LA Weather Forecast – 3/6/23

A bit of an unsettled pattern setting up for this week with here and there chances for rain. In fact, I think the math would argue that nearly every day has some sort of chance for rain, even if it is down around 5 to 10 percent.

We will have a few stroms sytems push through, sure, but most of the action will remain non-severe. The cold fronts, at this point, just don’t look like they’ll have the ‘Gusto’ to really create much intense weather.

Probably a good week to keep the umbrella handy and the app up and running on your phone, though, so you don’t get caught in a quick downpour.

That said, by next Monday, we may have a system kick through that has a chance to produce some rambunctious storms. Severe weather still looks less likely, but some heavier rain, gusty wind and small hail may be possible.

In the meantime, passing clouds, a few showers and storms here and there, and no high-impact weahter anticipated.
