Holiday Weekend Vacation Spot/Trip Forecast – 7/2/26

Regional Outlook

Happy 4th of July weekend, everyone! I’m sure a lot of you have plans, so here’s a look at the forecast for the usual vacation spots we cover.

Overall, it’s looking hot and humid with a lot of sunshine around. A few pop-up storms are possible during the afternoons, especially Sunday, but most places should have plenty of dry time. Just keep an eye on the radar, stay hydrated, and don’t forget the sunscreen! Lots of fireworks shows and events – see down below!

High pressure is parked directly over us for Friday and Saturday, keeping us hot and mostly dry, asides from any isolated showers or thunderstorms that can still try and form. I think any plans for Friday and Saturday are still good to go, but we know how it is in the summertime with all of the heat and humidity. Just keep an eye out on the radar and maybe bring an umbrella, especially if you’ll be outside in the afternoon hours.

By Sunday, the high pressure slips away, and the atmosphere becomes more unstable, meaning there could be more showers and thunderstorms than Friday and Saturday. Not everyone is going to see a whole lot of rain, but just be cautious on Sunday, of all the days, if you have outdoor plans.
