Loch Ness Monster Sightings Possible in Wake of Heavy Rains Next Week

With heavy rain coming next week, areas in the northern Pinebelt may have a chance at a Loch Ness monster sighting! They are very rare especially in North America, however if conditions are right especially if there is fog over the lake, you may catch the silhouette of one if you’re lucky!

Okay, I had to since it’s April Fool’s Day! Anyways, here’s the real forecast.

Today we’ll see a little bit of rain in the morning clear out by the afternoon with temperatures climbing into the 80’s and clearer skies. Sunday will be a bit milder compared to the rest of the week with the last of the rain moving out by today. However, overnight into Monday, we’ll have a shortwave trough pushing more rain into the Northern and Central parts of Mississippi with some heavy rain possible in the Pinebelt. Depending on your location, the rain could be up to 3 inches per hour as the storms move through during overnight hours into the daytime. Tuesday will be our driest day with us being in between two low pressure systems.

As we move into Wednesday, a closed low pressure system moving from the Plains up to the Great Lakes will bring in another shot of rain and even some possible severe weather. Like we had last weekend, the front will stall over us again bringing more rain throughout most of Easter weekend. Temperatures will stay around the 70’s to 80’s until the front finally pushes through near the end of the weekend.
