Multiple States Getting Heavy Rainfall or Hotter than Normal Temperatures: CONUS Weather Forecast – 8/25/22

Hello everybody, there will be a lot of weather activities will be happening across the nation. The Southeast, Northern plains, Midwest and the Four corner states will receive substantial amount of rainfall for today. Meanwhile, it will be the opposite for the states in the Central plains, Northeast, and West coast will be having hotter and drier weather than other parts of the nation.

Wet Weather

There will be a huge surge of moisture coming from the Gulf of Mexico as the southerly wind moving the moisture up to southern Canada. There are systems in place that will utilize this moisture for stormy weather to appear in the Southeast, Northern plains, Midwest and the Four corner states. In the northern Plains, there will be a strong low-pressure system with a cold front backing it up to develop possible thunderstorms and showers in Montana, Wyoming, and North Dakota. It will be a similar situation for the Midwest as the cold front reaches to the Northeast. There will be possible scattered thunderstorms and showers will appear in Wisconsin and Michigan. The storms will move to the east to provide some rain for the Northeast in the next few days,

Meanwhile, there will be isolated to scattered monsoon thunderstorms and showers will be developing in the four corner states in the afternoon. The biggest rain maker for today will be going to be the Southeast, as the stationary cold front is stalling near the Gulf of Mexico coast to provide heavy rainfall for the coastal areas.



Hotter weather

The late summer is still here as there some parts of United states will be feel 100+ degree temperatures in the Central Plains and Southwest. In the Northwest, Central Plains and Northeast will be seeing above average temperature that will be going 5 up to 14 degrees than normal in their areas. In the next few days, those areas temperatures might cool down as the cold front from the north will be moving down south. As the US northern states will feel the effects of the cold front from the north with slightly colder temperatures.
