No Sweat? Sorry, the Heat’s Coming Back

The past few days have been nice in south Mississippi with less humidity and cooler temperatures during the day. It would be great if we could stay like this but there is an area of high pressure that will be over the southeast which will give us warmer temperatures by the weekend. I’ll get your weekend started and then Noah will take over the long term forecast so let’s jump right into it.

Friday –  The nice temperatures stick with us for a little bit longer Friday the high will be around 88 degrees with winds out of the northeast that is what will keep the temperatures from jumping up to high for one more day. Rain chances remain low for the day with only a 10 percent chance of getting a afternoon shower. Overnight lows will drop into the upper 60’s around 68 degrees so another great night to get out and talk a walk or just get some fresh air.

Saturday – Our high temperatures will start a steady uphill climb on Saturday with a high around 89 degrees but our winds will switch to the southeast which will bring with it more humidity and a slightly better chance at seeing a afternoon shower with rain chances around 20 percent. Skies will remain partly cloudy through the day and into the overnight the temperatures will dip to around 69 degrees so another good night to get out and enjoy it!

Good afternoon y’all! Thanks to Amber for your early weekend forecast. The cooldown is nearing its end by the end of the weekend and we’ll be back to our normal hot summer days. Next week we could see an odd chance of rain especially later in the week.

Sunday  we have partly cloudy skies with a chance of afternoon showers. The humidity starts to return with the wind coming from the south. High of 92, low of 72 and winds south at 5 mph.

Monday  we start to go back to the summertime heat with some cumulus clouds that could later spark into an afternoon thunderstorm. High of 93, low of 73 and winds west southwest at 5 mph.

Tuesday has a slightly higher chance of rain in the afternoon with partly cloudy skies during the day. High of 90, low of 73 and winds west southwest at 5 mph.

Wednesday the winds shift towards the northwest as a very weak front comes in making conditions drier but hotter. High of 94, low of 71 and winds northwest at 5 mph. Rain is possible overnight.

Thursday sees the leftover rain possible in the morning keeping skies cloudy but we’ll still be fairly hot during the day. High of 91, low of 72 and winds west northwest at 5 mph.

Have a good week!
