Per usual for this time of year, temperatures look to remain average for this time of year along with daily chances for showers and thunderstorms. Dew point temperatures in the upper 60s and low 70s will help keep the feeling of tropical air alive and well when paired with temperatures in the low to mid 90s for the next 7 days. Depending on how much sunlight certain areas receive throughout the coming days will dictate how high the heat index will be able to climb and, therefore, the probability for heat related illnesses. Areas that may or may not see showers or thunderstorms on a given day will largely be determined on preexisting outflow boundaries from the previous day’s storms, as well as any interactions with lake/sea breeze boundaries over the coming days.
