South Mississippi Forecast: 9/6/21

I hope everyone who has the day off chooses to take the day easy. For those of you who have to work, I hope you are allowed to take it easier. And for those who have to work and be at your peak – thank you for working so hard on a day where everyone else gets to take a day off.

The forecast is looking decent.

Okay, so it won’t be completely dry. It does look like there will be a decent shot for afternoon showers and storms today, however, severe weather looks unlikely and there are no hurricanes in the forecast, either. So that is a win.

Speaking of the tropics, it does look like the remnants of Invest 91L will be floating around in the Gulf this week. Organization and development are unlikely, but it will need to be monitored.

Even the NHC is skeptical that it does anything more than just increase the chance for rain along the Mississippi and Alabama coastlines.

Beyond that it does look like there will be another ‘something’ to watch in the Caribbean. But what will happen with it, where it will go, and what it will do when it gets there are still unknowns.
