Storms return Friday night, then more rain next week: Southern MS/AL/LA Weather Forecast – 3/22/23

We’ve got another shot for storms and the potential for some severe weather as we lose out the week and get into the weekend.

The SPC has highlighted the area with an Enhanced and Slight Risk for severe weather. This is mainly for Friday and into early Saturday morning across parts of the area.

It looks like the timeline hasn’t changed much, but will likely need to be tweaked a bit as the higher-resolution guidance comes out later today and through the day tomorrow. But for now, minor changes there.

Once this rolls through, it should set the stage for a nicer weekend. Then next week we end up playing along a frontal boundary with here and there chances for rain.
