Things still looking good next week: Southern MS / AL / LA Weather Forecast 10/15/21

Today is the day! The cold front arrives. While it won’t knock temperatures down forever, it will put an end to late summer heat for the better part of the next seven days.

The cold front is set to move through the region overnight tonight and usher in some more seasonable air. In fact, it will actually be much cooler-than-average air.

Average highs this time of year are still around 80 degrees. And this cold front will knock temperatures back into the low 70s for some folks. And, to be honest, I wouldn’t be surprised if some spots get stuck in the upper 60s for highs a bit farther north.

But the Autumn stuff isn’t forever. By the middle of next week temperatures will be back into the low to mid 80s.

So get out and enjoy the weather and spend as much time as you can outdoors (if that is your thing) because this is – basically – the one weekend per year that we all wait for along the Gulf Coast. It is the Perfect Weather Weekend. Generally, we get about 3-6 of these every year. Usually there are two or three in the fall and then another two or three in the Spring. This is our second one this Fall. So, I’m not saying this is “it” for nice weekends, but statistically, we may only see one more.
