Hey everyone! Welcome back to our weekly weekend vacation spot forecast! Unfortunately, once again, the weekend is not looking the best for any outdoor plans, at least as a whole. While there will be times with no rain, there will be chances of showers and thunderstorms throughout the weekend. Saturday looks to be the washout day, while Friday and Sunday are a scattered showers and thunderstorms type of day. Be careful if you will be on the water or at the beach, because the surf will be rough and the risk of rip currents is high.
If I were to give you any advice, it would be not to go to the beach this weekend. Sorry 🙁 You might be okay to go to the water parks on Friday or Sunday, but you might get caught in some showers or thunderstorms, so be cautious.

Regional Outlook
Below is a look at the surface pattern and associated weather for Friday, and pretty much the whole weekend. While there is a high-pressure system over the southern Appalachians, it is not strong enough to overcome the incredible amount of moisture coming off the Gulf, or to stop the stationary front from chilling around over the northern Gulf. The combination of the front and the persistent moisture equals high rain chances all weekend.
