Southern MS/AL/LA Forecast Refresh – 7/8/26

Currently, there are scattered showers and thunderstorms across Southern LA moving Northeast. Starting to expand into the Southwest portion of MS near the border.

Tonight

Isolated showers and thunderstorms near the MS/AL border around late afternoon (4 pm). Should clear up around 8 pm. Scattered showers and thunderstorms in Southeast LA during the late afternoon. Will start to clear up around 5/6 pm. Another round of scattered showers and thunderstorms near the LA/MS border towards I-10 around 6 pm. Will be moving northeast and strengthening. Should start to clear out around 11 pm.

SPC has our area experiencing rain and general thunderstorms. Will still receive less than half an inch of rain.


Tomorrow

Clear and calm night. Around 7 am, Southwestern LA will have isolated showers and thunderstorms that will last until the afternoon. The rest of our area will experience scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon into the evening.

SPC has our area under general thunderstorms. With the high pressure in the Gulf, the afternoon and evening thunderstorms are common.
