A few storms today and tomorrow as a very weak system tries to cruise by: Southern MS/AL/LA Weather Forecast – 5/16/23

It’ll be a bit of a brief forecast for the region today as I’m traveling for work. Good morning from San Antonio!

We’ve got a chance for more scattered showers and storms today. Many of these may take a bit longer than normal to get up and moving. I think most spots will remain dry today through at least 4pm. Then the storms will develop between about 4p and 9p tonight before easing off overnight.

That said, there will be a bit of a battle happening between the ridge of high pressure that is in place and a little trough that may try to dig through the region to the north. That trough may actually kick a bit of a dewpoint front through the area tomorrow. It won’t offer much relief, but it may be the catalyst for some extra storms.
