Cold New Year’s Eve weekend, some snow possible in Midwest, Northeast, and high elevations in West: CONUS Friday-Sunday Forecast: 12/28/2023

The weekend leading up to New Year’s will be cold for many. High temperatures are not expected to get above the 40s in most places. By Sunday, temperatures in the South will warm up a bit, but most areas will see a cold New Year’s Eve.

With the exception of a bit of rain along the West Coast and a little bit of snow in the Midwest, Northeast, and high elevations in the West, not much eventful weather will occur over the weekend. I guess that’s a good thing overall, but I’m sure most people wish it were a bit warmer.
