Consecutive days above 90F continue, spotty showers possible next week: Southern MS/AL/LA Weather Forecast – 9/22/23

Things look hot and dry through the weekend as our stretch of 90s continue. We are at 91 consecutive days of tagging 90-degrees or higher. Unreal.

Here is an updated look at the records. We have set a ton this Summer.

The hot and the dry go hand-in-hand. We couldn’t get this hot unless it was as dry as its been. And because its been so hot it has left us this dry. That is another reason why drought can be one of those feedback loops can end up running away on itself.

We will have a few shots for rain here and there, but generally things will be dry for the next week.
