Drier weather settles into the area: Southern MS/AL/LA Weather Forecast – 4/18/22

It looks like we are settling into a pretty “boring” weather pattern during the next 10 days. And, let me tell you, that is going to be a welcomed change for a lot of people.

As a more settled weather pattern takes over for the next week and change, it should allow for the plants to really green up. The recent rains and upcoming warmer temperatures the trees, grasses, and flowers and going to be in full Grow Mode.

By the end of the month, though, things do tart to change. Ridging takes over toward the Desert Southwest and that allows a Northwest flow to develop. And that could increase the chance for storms again across the area.

The good news is that, generally, a “NW Flow” doesn’t often offer much of a chance for widespread severe weather or tornadoes. Instead, it is a setup for storms with small hail and gusty wind. So, some good news there, too.

In the meantime, get out and enjoy the sunshine and drier weather!
