Rain and wind this morning, clearing later today: Southern MS/AL/LA Weather Forecast – 3/26/24

The rain this morning will continue for the next few hours. We have seen some low-lying areas with some brief flooding so if you are out and about this morning, don’t be surprised if you come across water over the road.

As a reminder, when you see water over the road, try to find another way around. Often times you don’t know how deep that water is. We have seen plenty of times in the past around here where the water has washed away the road beneath it, and people tried to ‘ford the river’ and ended up being stuck – or swept away.

The good news is that things should taper off once we get past the 9am hour and then clear through the afternoon.

The front is waayyy back across parts of TExas and should kick through later today. The clearing by this afternoon sets the stage for quite the nice stretch of weather through this week and into the weekend. Right now, it looks like the next weather system is set to arrive next Tuesday.

So hang in there with the weather this morning. it look better later today.
