Southern MS/AL/LA Forecast Refresh – 6/8/26

Currently, there are isolated showers in LA, MS, and AL moving northeast. Heavy rain on the coast of LA.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are moving northeast in LA and MS. Movement will continue into AL near Choctaw County around late evening. Fairly similar to yesterday’s forecast.

Most of our area is under a thunderstorm risk that will continue into tomorrow. Expect standard lightning and possible heavy rains in some areas.

Tonight

The showers and storms will dissipate into the nighttime hours into just showers. The heavier rain will be seen in the LA counties of Vermilion, Iberia, and Plaquemines. The biggest difference from yesterday’s forecast is that in LA, we’ll see showers rather than nighttime storms.

Tomorrow

Our chances for rain and storms have increased from yesterday’s forecast. Still going to be warm and humid.

Early morning showers into the afternoon for our area. Possible brief scattered showers during the early evening. Scattered showers and storms in LA around the late afternoon into the evening. After, our area will remain dry.
