Storms possible by early next week, until then nice weather should hold: Southern MS/AL/LA Weather Forecast – 4/26/24

With all of the active weather occurring across the Plains, we get to enjoy some pleasant weather. While we will have a shot for some showers and storms on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday… So far none of it looks particularly potent.

In fact, looking at the next eight days from the CIPS Analogs guidance, we see that there isn’t even the lowest level of concern from the model guidance until May 3 and that is for mainly north of I-20.

So, enjoy this Springtime warmth! And enjoy it without a looming threat for severe weather!

Oh! And speaking of May!

Currently, the, general, forecast for our area for May looks like slightly cooler than normal temperatures for the first half of the month and the second half of the month then flips to slightly warmer than normal. Precipitation should be slightly above normal for our area.

This doesn’t mean it wont be hot at times and it won’t be dry at times. But, that is a general forecast.
