Cooler and drier weather continues, then more rain this weekend: Southern MS/AL/LA Weather Forecast – 1/26/23

No big changes in the Weather World today. We still have some wind, we still have some chilly temperatures, we still look dry for a few days.

The next shot for rain arrives Saturday night. This looks like it’ll be just showers and non-severe thunderstorms. Most of the model guidance wants to keep the severe stuff of the coast and down into the Gulf.

There won’t be much of a cold front behind this first shot of rain, so we won’t really cool down after the weekend. In fact, we may actually warm up.

The next week we have another shot for a system to push through in the middle of the week. This one may bring a round of stronger storms and then a shot of cooler air behind it.
